Honduran by birth (1792) is an illustrious man of the central america history, but also lived and fought in David, reason why the city remembers him with pride. Here, Morazan writes his memoirs, autobiography which covers up to April 13, 1829, an inconclusive testimonial because of his involvement in the Central America politics. “Manifiesto de David” (July 16, 1841), work in which he affirms that a rectification surged around the convenience of Federalism. After so many painful experiences, Morazan arrived at the conclusion that Federalism and barbaric Leadership were synonymous expressions. The analysis of his own role in history, recorded in “Memorias y Manifiesto de David”, made him – in fact – one of the founders of the Honduran literature. The dimension of his revolutionary leadership throughout Central America, made him the topic of poets, narrators and essayists.
